Important

BIAS hosts email for many different domains. The exact incoming and outgoing server hostname may vary. The settings shown in cPanel for your mailbox are the authoritative settings.

Steps for an authorized cPanel administrator

  1. Sign in to your organization's cPanel account.
  2. Open Email Accounts.
  3. Locate the required mailbox.
  4. Select Connect Devices.
  5. Review the Secure SSL/TLS Settings.

The screen normally provides:

  • username;
  • incoming server;
  • IMAP port;
  • POP3 port;
  • outgoing SMTP server;
  • SMTP port;
  • SSL/TLS requirements.

Recommended protocol

For most users, BIAS recommends IMAP instead of POP3.

Common secure ports are:

IMAP over SSL/TLS: 993
SMTP over SSL/TLS: 465
SMTP with STARTTLS: 587

Use the exact hostname and settings displayed in cPanel.

If you do not have cPanel access

Contact your organization's administrator or BIAS Support for the correct mailbox settings.
